The Piko H0 sound diesel locomotive SU46 of the PKP brings one of the most powerful diesel locomotives of the Polish state railroad to your layout as a fully digitized model variant. As a further development of the SP45, the SU46 was specially designed for heavy passenger service and freight service on non-electrified main lines. With electric train heating, revised driver's cabs and beaded side walls, it was a technical milestone in PKP diesel locomotive construction.

Fully equipped digitally - with prototype sound

The model has digitally switchable driver's cab and engine room lighting, finely detailed roof design, free-standing handlebars and windshield wipers as well as true-to-original lamps. The factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder with PIKO TrainSound® provides an authentic sound - from the engine start to the fan noise. The white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is part of the basic equipment.

SU46 - the backbone of diesel transportation in Poland

Between 1976 and 1977, 50 locomotives of this type were manufactured by H. Cegielski in Poznań. They were used on numerous PKP main lines and are still a symbol of the transition from steam to modern diesel operation in Poland.
