Piko 52942 diesel locomotive BR 216, DB AG, Ep. V (incl. sound)

Novelty 2023: Variant of the DB AG class 216 with traffic red paint scheme with bib in Era V. In the 1960s and 1970s, the class V 160 or 216 was the express locomotive for lines without overhead wire on the German Federal Railroad. The development team has implemented the striking design of the prototype in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal running characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paintwork that is consistent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red/white as well as the light functions that can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder. The digital interface PluX22 according to NEM 658 is state of the art, a suitable PIKO sound decoder with loudspeaker is integrated ex works. The buffer beam of the vehicle can be completed to match the prototype with the included accessories.
