About the original: The Vossloh G6 has 3 axles and a lot of potential to be adapted to a wide variety of conditions with additional equipment. The G6 was built a total of 133 times from 2008-2017. The main area of use was always shunting, but with 3 different engines ex works, it was also possible to purchase a variant with a top speed of up to 80 km/h. The locomotive frame has a modular design, which means that various superstructures can be fitted and removed independently of each other, resulting in enormous ease of maintenance and variability. Thanks to these features, the G6 was awarded the Privatbahn Magazine Innovation Prize for 2008/09.

About the model: The Piko model depicts a G6 from ITL-Captrain, which, in addition to shunting, also advertises the company. The sides of the locomotive have a paint scheme that is used as a job advertisement. This special paintwork is excellently reproduced by Piko. In addition to the paintwork, the model can shine visually with a variety of other details. These include filigree grab rails and handrails, radiator covers and a very detailed running gear. Thanks to the factory-fitted Plux22 sound decoder, it is possible to digitally switch the numerous light and sound functions.
