Historical background
The VT 186 railcars were built in the mid-1930s by Lindner and WUMAG for the Provinzialsächsische Kleinbahnen. The "Kleine Wettiner", as this type was affectionately known, was used on numerous branch lines such as Schildau-Mockrehna or Prettin-Annaburg. The Deutsche Reichsbahn later took over many of these vehicles and used them in the Altmark region, among other places - a classic for branch line fans.
Compatibility & expansion options
The railcar is fully compatible with all H0 two-wire track systems. It can be excellently combined with historic Era IV cars. The digital interface allows easy retrofitting with a decoder for modern layout control.
