Roco 1000001 Z21 START newGen Basic Digital Set
Are you looking for an entry-level control center for your digital model railroad that lets you get started wirelessly right away? The Roco 1000001 Z21 START newGen Basic Digital Set is a beginner’s control center offered at a particularly attractive price and provides the perfect foundation for getting started with digital control of your model railroad layout.
With the Z21 START newGen, you can start with the control device of your choice: the Z21 APP, the Z21 multiMAUS, or the Z21 WLANMAUS. This allows for a flexible entry into the hobby, depending on which control option you prefer.
Entry-Level Control Center for Digital Model Railroad Operation
The Z21 START newGen is designed for an easy start. With built-in Wi-Fi, setup and connection are particularly straightforward. Additional Z21 products are available for expanding your layout, so the control center serves as a solid foundation for future upgrades.
The app is available for free download from the App Store for iOS devices and from the Google Play Store for Android devices. This allows you to control your layout using a compatible mobile device.
Control of Locomotives and Turnout Decoders
The Z21 START newGen controls up to 9,999 locomotive decoders, up to 100 locomotives simultaneously, and up to 2,048 turnout decoders. This entry-level control center thus provides a comprehensive foundation for digital operation and the control of larger layout structures.
Software updates via the new Z21 Suite are also supported. The X-BUS and USB-C ports allow for the integration of compatible components.
Digital Foundation with Clear Technical Details
The input voltage ranges from 18 to 24 V. The output voltage is 1 V lower than the input voltage, and the maximum output current is 3 A. Analog locomotives cannot be controlled.
For digital operation, DCC locomotive decoders, 14/28/128 speed steps, and F0 through F31 are supported. POM read and write functionality is also included. On the Z21 START newGen, the main track and programming track are on a single output, as is familiar from the z21start. RailCom is a registered trademark of Lenz Elektronik GmbH, Gießen.
