Railjet 2 - Austria's long-distance traffic on a new level

The new Railjet 2 is based on the Viaggio Next Level platform from Siemens and is the successor to the proven Railjet 1. ÖBB is thus focusing on higher capacity, comfort and energy efficiency. With its modular design and continuous passenger guidance, it is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of passengers.

Model structure - six-car set with exclusive equipment

The set includes the following coaches:

• Business/First-Class end car (Ampz class)
• First-Class coach (Ampz)
• Bistro car (BRmpz)
• Multifunctional carriage (Bbmpvz)
• Economy class coaches (Bmpz)
• Economy class control car (Bfmpz)

All of the cars have a multi-part interior with separately attached luggage racks, detailed car floors, separately attached aprons and flush train destination displays. The transitions are realistically implemented - with connecting hoses for an almost closed appearance in the train set.

Digital and bright - fully equipped

The digital version includes:

• Interior lighting in all cars, digitally switchable
• Live couplers
• Driver's cab lighting
• Switchable high beam, headlights and light for Italy (control car)

The model has a PluX16 interface, function decoder and LED technology. Control car with 3 headlights / 2 marker lights, depending on the direction of travel.
