Roco 2nd class passenger coach Bme - TT, DR, Era IV

The Roco 6280033 is a classic 2nd class passenger coach type Y/B-70, class Bme, of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. With a detailed interior and fine printing, it is an authentic model for DR express trains of Era IV in TT scale. This variant appears with a changed road number and supplements the 6280032 and 6280034 models.

Design & workmanship

The model shows the typical DR design of the 1970s and 1980s. Fine printing, realistic coloring and the carefully implemented Y/B-70 design make the car true to the original. The existing interior furnishings provide additional authenticity and also make the car interesting for layouts with lighting.

Technology & equipment

The car is equipped with a detailed interior and is intended for DC analog operation. Interior lighting (item no. 4080001) can be retrofitted. With the NEM 358 coupler pocket and close coupler kinematics, a close car transition and reliable coupling is possible.

Historical background

The type Y/B-70 passenger coaches were used in many countries of the Eastern Bloc. On the Deutsche Reichsbahn, the Bme coaches (2nd class) were an integral part of D trains and international express trains. They often formed the main part of the sets and thus characterized the appearance of the DR passenger trains in Era IV.
