About the model: The Czechoslovakian State Railways version of the T478 3208 diesel locomotive is from Era IV and has a digital interface. This makes it possible to retrofit a decoder at any time. About the prototype: The so-called diving goggles or spectacle snake was developed and built at CKD in Prague. The first prototypes of the T 478.3 series diesel locomotive were built in 1968. 408 units of this striking locomotive were built in total. Over the course of time, the diving goggles went through a number of color variants; from 1988, red with a yellow belly band and grey roof became the standard livery.
