Roco 70526 electric locomotive 1116 088-6, ÖBB, Ep. VI

The rapid modernization of the Austrian electric locomotive fleet began with the commissioning of the first "Taurus" locomotive series 1016 in the summer of 1999. A dual-system version of this universal locomotive was also procured for AC operation with 15 kV/16.7 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz. By 2006, 282 locomotives of the 1116 series had been put into service. They are approved for 230 km/h. The power output is 6,400 kW.
