Roco 72017 diesel locomotive 335 160-8, DB AG, Ep. VI (incl. sound)

For the shunting of passenger and freight cars in stations, the German Federal Railroad relied early on smaller shunting locomotives. A further development of the Köf 11, with power transmission via cardan shafts and additional axle gears, was presented by Gmeinder in 1965. Of this version, initially designated Köf 12, 251 shunting locomotives were delivered to the Deutsche Bundesbahn as class 333. In order to make personnel savings possible, a large number of the locomotives were equipped with radio remote control starting in the late 1980s. These locomotives were designated as the class 335.
