Adria Transport was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH (GKB) and the operating company of the port of Koper (Luka Koper). The fleet also includes two Siemens Eurorunner (Hercules) diesel-electric locomotives, which, among other advantages, do not require the power supply available on the Koper-Prešnica-Divača line, allowing more trains to run on the route. The 2016 921, which entered service in 2012, bears the name "Ingrid".
