Roco 7310008 diesel locomotive 749 257-2, CD, Ep. V

The diesel locomotive 749 257 was converted from the original T 478.2 series (from 1988: 752). It comes from the delivery series of 82 machines without train heating equipment for freight train operation. In the 1990s, the locomotive was retrofitted with electric heating and renamed series 749. The decisive factor for this was the more economical use of the Bardotkas in front of short trains. The locomotive was also given the pleasing Šumperk color scheme, which was used on several locomotives in different color combinations. It was used for both passenger and freight trains in the Czech Republic.
