Roco 7500066 H0 electric locomotive 143 130-3, DB AG, Ep. V Product Details
Roco 7500066 H0 Electric locomotive 143 130-3 of the DB AG: Universal locomotive of era V
The Roco 7500066 H0 electric locomotive 143 130-3 is a detailed replica of the class 143 in the striking bordeaux red livery with DB AG logos. This universal locomotive, which emerged from the original class 243 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, is a versatile all-rounder for model railroad layouts of Era V.
The prototype: The class 143
The progressive electrification of the DR route network in the 1980s made the development of a four-axle electric locomotive necessary. The test locomotive 212 001-2 became the class 243, which became one of the most frequently used locomotives on the Deutsche Reichsbahn with over 600 units.
After reunification and the merger of the DR with the Deutsche Bundesbahn, the class 243 locomotives were transferred to the DB AG fleet and continued as class 143. They were used for a variety of tasks, from regional trains to freight traffic.
The railroad company: Deutsche Bahn AG
In Era V (1990-2006), Deutsche Bahn AG played a central role in the modernization of rail transport in Germany. Locomotives such as the 143 130-3 were essential for the integration and smooth operation of the merged rail network.
Era V: Transition and modernity
Era V was a time of change, characterized by reunification and the associated integration of the railroad systems of East and West Germany. The class 143 is an example of this transitional period and the increasing standardization in rail transport.
Color scheme and design
The 143 130-3 locomotive has an elegant bordeaux red paint scheme with the DB AG logos. The separately applied plug-in parts, some of which are etched, ensure a high-quality look. With a length over buffers of 192 mm and intricate details, this locomotive goes perfectly with the Halberstadt wagons (item no. 74807, 74808, 74809, 74810).
