Roco 7500089 electric locomotive 9902, Railexperts, Ep. VI

In cooperation with ROCO, the 1600 series electric locomotive shines in an eye-catching design! This unique model, matching the children's books "Tommie and Tess", presents itself as an attractive ambassador locomotive. The lovely motifs from the popular children's books adorn the sides of the locomotive and make it an indispensable collector's item for every model railroad enthusiast!

Locomotive 9902 was delivered to the Dutch State Railways in 1981 as 1616. When passenger and freight services were separated, the locomotive was assigned to the NS-Cargo freight division. NS-Cargo was later taken over by DB-Cargo. In 2020, the last locomotives of the 1600 series were parked at DB Cargo. The last six existing locomotives were sold to RXP Tracte B.V., an asset company of the Railexperts Group. With a small nod to the already existing ex Locon 9901, the 1616 was renamed 9902. The locomotive is used both for its own transport operations and leased to other rail transport companies. Railexperts is a provider of passenger and freight transportation services. Special passenger trains are tractioned, locomotive and railcar transfers are carried out for third parties, as well as last-mile services in freight transport. The range of services also includes approval test runs and a 24/7 control center that monitors traffic for various rail transport companies.
