Prototype: BLS Re 465 universal locomotive

The Re 465 is based on the well-known SBB Re 460, but has been further developed with individual inverters per axle. It offers excellent traction - both in freight traffic on the Lötschberg line and in front of commuter trains in passenger traffic. The Re 465 008 has a particularly striking design when used for the Golden Pass Express.
