A legend of the Swedish State Railroad
From the 1950s, the class Da locomotive shaped electrified rail traffic in Sweden. With an output of around 2,000 kW, a top speed of 100 km/h and designed for the 15 kV system, it could be used in a variety of ways - for both passenger and freight services. Its robust design ensured that it remained in service for decades into the 1990s - a true endurance runner from the SJ!
Model update with many new features
The current Roco version scores with numerous upgrades: In addition to the new PluX22 sound decoder, the locomotive has SAB wheels for the first time - characteristic of SJ vehicles - as well as separate rail scrapers with individual shovels. Particularly striking: the "Lollipop" markings on the front 1 and the original buffer beam without reinforcement - a must for prototype enthusiasts.
Digital equipment for realistic model railroad operation
In digital operation, the locomotive impresses with switchable headlights and marker lights as well as cab lighting. The LED technology ensures authentic illumination and gives the locomotive an impressive presence on the layout during operation - especially at dusk and at night.
Driving characteristics & technology
With three powered axles, a traction tire axle and a flywheel, the locomotive offers smooth and powerful running characteristics. Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, it can be easily integrated into your existing fleet of vehicles. The compact design with a length of 151 mm makes it ideal for smaller radii from 358 mm.
