With the Roco 7520048 H0 set of 2 Rm electric locomotives, you can bring two impressive representatives of Swedish railroad history to your model railroad layout. The Rm locomotives were specially developed in the 1970s for heavy ore transportation between Kiruna and Narvik and are technically based on the proven Rc4. They have higher axle loads, modified gear ratios and a reduced maximum speed of 100 km/h in order to reliably move the enormous train loads in the Scandinavian north. Originally used as the triple unit Rm+Rm+Rm, they were later operated in the combination Rm+Rc4+Rm before they were modified after disappointing operational experience and continued to be used in regular freight train service.

The model set from Roco appears in the Era IV version of the Swedish State Railways SJ and offers two fully equipped locomotives with faithful reproduction of the front section including automatic coupling. Both locomotives are designed for AC operation and have powerful 5-pole motors with flywheels, a total of eight powered axles - two of them with traction tires - and a buffer capacitor for a stable power supply. The length over buffers is a total of 358 mm, which takes into account the impressive appearance of the machines. The model is designed for H0 gauge and fits perfectly on all standard layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm.

The set is technically impressive with an electric PluX22 interface, modern LED headlights with Swedish light change and extensive lighting functions such as separately switchable head and tail lights as well as high beam in digital mode. The built-in MS450P22 decoder provides a true-to-original soundscape and precise control of all functions. The model is equipped with an NEM 362 coupling shaft, but without close coupling kinematics.

Thanks to the high-quality workmanship and detailed paintwork including true-to-original lettering, the model is an exact miniature of the prototype. The locomotives are not only eye-catching, they are also technically up to date and offer a high play and collector's value. Collectors, fans of Nordic railroads and technically experienced model railroaders in particular will enjoy this set. The model also cuts an excellent figure as a tractor unit for typical ore trains or combined freight trains.
