The E 03, later known as the 103 series, was the most powerful electric locomotive of the German Federal Railroad in the 1960s. Between 1970 and 1974, 145 machines were built in series. With its elegant design, the 103 is still considered one of the most beautiful electric locomotives in the world. The 103 113-7 is now part of the DB Museum collection and a symbol of the heyday of intercity transport.
