Roco 7790001 diesel railcar M 152 0059 with sidecar, CSD, Ep. IV (incl. sound) Product Details
In 1973, Vagonka Tatra presented the first prototype of the new M151.0 railcar as the successor to the outdated M131.1 series railcars. In October 1973, this vehicle was presented to visitors at the World Exhibition of Railway Technology in Basel. Starting in 1975, a total of 678 railcars were delivered in seven series. In addition to the railcars, matching Blm-type sidecars were delivered, which were identical in appearance to the railcars. In the period from 1979 to 1986, 205 vehicles were also delivered to the Hungarian state railroads MAV and incorporated there under the Bzmot series.
The railcars can even be found on cross-border local services between Germany and the Czech Republic. Since 1988, the railcars have borne the model series number 810. Model railway enthusiasts gave the railcar the nickname "bread box" - probably inspired by its angular body.

Frequently asked questions
| Question: | Which model railway layouts is the Roco 7790001 diesel railcar suitable for? |
| Answer: | The set is designed for digital TT scale layouts using a two-rail DC system. It represents ČSD diesel railcar M 152 0059 with a matching trailer from Era IV and is particularly suitable for historic local and branch-line services. |
| Question: | Is the model supplied with a digital decoder and sound? |
| Answer: | Yes, the railcar is factory-equipped with a Next18 digital decoder and authentic sound functions. It can therefore be used directly on a compatible digital layout. |
| Question: | Which lighting functions does the model provide? |
| Answer: | The railcar features direction-dependent triple headlights and two red tail lights. The LED interior lighting can be controlled digitally, and both the powered railcar and trailer have detailed interiors. |
| Question: | Which drive and coupling systems are used? |
| Answer: | A five-pole motor drives two axles of the railcar. The vehicles feature NEM 358 coupling pockets and close-coupling mechanisms, allowing a reduced distance between the railcar and trailer. |
| Question: | Which dimensions and track radii should be considered? |
| Answer: | The total length over buffers is 232 mm. The stated minimum radius is 286 mm, making the set suitable for relatively compact TT scale layouts. |
