Design & workmanship
This model of the TRAXX AC1 is elaborately printed and shows all the fine printing elements of the DB Cargo version. Extra windshield wipers, filigree pantographs with innovative attachment and rail scrapers on the chassis make the model particularly realistic. The design is based directly on the TRAXX 145, but modernized and designed for international use.
Technical features & special functions
Equipped for the first time with a PluX22 interface and a factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder, the locomotive offers numerous digital features. Light functions such as individually switchable headlights and marker lights as well as cab lighting can be controlled via your digital command station. Thanks to two traction tires on three powered axles, the locomotive is also reliable under load.
Prototype information
The TRAXX AC1 was developed as a powerful further development of the BR 145 and is designed for cross-border freight services. With an output of 5.6 MW at 140 km/h, it is a universally deployable locomotive for many railroad companies - economical, reliable and future-proof. The DB Cargo order was the decisive impetus for the series production of this locomotive series.
Compatibility & system integration
Ideal for all 3-wire digital systems with Märklin compatibility. Thanks to NEM standards and modern PluX22 technology, the locomotive can be easily integrated into existing layouts. Perfectly suited for modern freight trains and international routes in Era VI.
