The Trix 23235 BDnrzf 784.1 control car complements the “CityBahn” car set (Item 23234) with a functionally and visually high-quality control car from the Deutsche Bundesbahn. In its striking solid orange/pebble gray color scheme and featuring the characteristic Karlsruhe-style front end including a baggage compartment, the model depicts the operational condition from 1986 onward on the Cologne–Gummersbach line—a perfect representation for Epoch IV regional trains.

Digital lighting functions for realistic operation

For the first time, this control car is equipped with a function decoder that allows digital control of the light change between the three-light front signal and the red tail lights. In addition, the cab, passenger compartment, and luggage compartment lighting can be switched on and off separately via digital control. The lighting is provided by warm white and red LEDs, supplemented by a buffer capacitor that reliably bridges short power interruptions.

Technically compatible with the entire fleet

The control car features a digitally switchable current-carrying coupler for controlling the interior lighting of the entire train set. This allows the lights to be turned on and off selectively via the control center—ideal in combination with the cars from the Trix 23234 set. The interior lighting is installed as standard.

Fine details and robust construction

Separately attached handrails at the car ends, printed car nameplates, and detailed bogies with disc brakes round out the high-quality design. Toilet drainpipes and shunting steps are included as separately attachable parts. With a length of 28.2 cm over the buffers and a minimum curve radius of 360 mm, the car can be used flexibly on nearly all H0 layouts.
