Trix 25475 H0 E-Lok BR 101 "Raw Metal Edition", DC-MFX-Sound Product Details

Trix 25475 H0 Electric Locomotive BR 101 "Raw Metal Edition," DC-MFX Sound

Are you looking for an extraordinary electric locomotive where the raw materials used are intentionally left visible? The Trix 25475 H0 Class 101 Electric Locomotive "Raw Metal Edition" showcases the Class 101 express train locomotive with a unique metallic finish. The metal construction is not concealed by a traditional paint job but remains visible and is coated only with a transparent protective varnish.

In addition, the locomotive features the Wacken Open Air logo. The W:O:A® logo is embossed using 3D digital printing and creates a striking contrast to the locomotive’s metallic look. The Trix 25475 is released as a one-time limited edition and combines its unique design with extensive digital features, numerous lighting functions, and a variety of sound effects.

Metallic look with raised W:O:A® logo

The prototype for the Trix 25475 is a Class 101 express train locomotive. In this version, the focus is on the look of the raw materials used. The locomotive’s surface remains visible and is protected only by a transparent protective coating. This gives the model its characteristic “Raw Metal Edition” appearance.

Another defining design element is the Wacken Open Air logo. The W:O:A® logo is not simply printed flat onto the locomotive, but is applied in relief using 3D digital printing. This design makes the logo stand out visibly from the metallic surface and underscores the model’s unique character.

The locomotive is built in H0 scale and is classified as being in Era VI service condition. Its length over buffers is 21.9 cm. The combination of visible metal construction, a transparent protective coating, and the raised W:O:A® logo gives the Class 101 a distinctive design.

Digital decoder with extensive sound functions

The Trix 25475 is equipped with a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. The model is DCC-, mfx-, and RailCom-compatible, offering various options for digital operation. The available functions can be selectively activated, enabling varied control of the locomotive.

Power is provided by a regulated high-performance drive with a center motor. All four axles are powered. Additionally, the locomotive is equipped with traction tires. This drive configuration supports controlled operation of the model on an H0 model railroad layout.

An integrated buffer capacitor bridges short power outages. This allows the locomotive to cope with brief interruptions in the power supply. This feature complements the regulated high-performance drive and the digital control system.

Versatile, switchable lighting functions

The three-light headlight, which changes direction depending on the direction of travel, and the two red tail lights operate conventionally and can be controlled digitally. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm-white and red light-emitting diodes.

In addition, the electric locomotive features separately switchable high-beam headlights. The cab lighting can also be switched digitally. This provides additional lighting functions beyond the standard headlights and tail lights, adding variety to the locomotive’s operation.

Separately Switchable Headlight and Double-A Light

The headlight on locomotive side 2 and on locomotive side 1 can each be switched off separately via digital control. This allows the lighting functions on both sides of the locomotive to be controlled independently of one another. If the headlights on both sides of the locomotive are switched off, the double-A light function is available on both sides.

The various lighting functions complement the extensive sound functions and the digital decoder. High beams, cab lighting, three-light headlight, red tail lights, and double-A lighting can be used according to their intended functions.

Four driven axles and a rack-and-pinion coupler

The center motor drives all four axles of the locomotive. Together with the regulated high-performance drive and the traction tires, this design forms the technical foundation of the model. The buffer capacitor complements the drive by bridging short power outages.

The Trix 25475 is also equipped with a rack-and-pinion coupler. Thus, the model combines its distinctive special design with extensive technical features. The length over buffers of 21.9 cm and the H0 scale design are clearly tailored for use in a corresponding model railroad setting.

The one-of-a-kind Trix 25475 H0 BR 101 “Raw Metal Edition” electric locomotive series is particularly distinguished by its exposed metal construction and the embossed W:O:A® logo. The design is complemented by the regulated high-performance drive, the center motor with drive to all four axles, extensive digital lighting functions, and numerous sound functions.

Get this special Class 101 locomotive as part of a limited-edition series and expand your H0 model railroad with an electric locomotive featuring an unmistakable raw-metal look, digital sound, and an eye-catching W:O:A® logo.
