Vollmer 47760 Stadtkirche Stuttgart-Berg

The prototype of this Vollmer model can look back on an eventful past. A church is said to have stood on the hill on the western bank of the Neckar as early as 1235. It was followed in 1470 by a new building in the Gothic style, which was replaced by a neo-Gothic church in the middle of the 19th century. After being almost completely destroyed in the Second World War, the church was finally rebuilt in 1954/55, so that today its exterior hardly differs from its neo-Gothic predecessor.
