Arnold HN9085 TT Class 66 Diesel Locomotive, Captrain, Era VI Product Details
Arnold HN9085 Captrain Class 66 Diesel Locomotive, Era VI, Gray, Neon Green, White
Are you looking for a powerful diesel locomotive for modern freight transport on your TT-scale model railroad layout? The Arnold HN9085 Class 66 diesel locomotive, featuring Captrain’s eye-catching color scheme, brings the atmosphere of international freight trains to your layout. With its combination of gray, neon green, and white, it’s a real showstopper for modern Era VI train formations.
The Class 66 is one of the most distinctive diesel locomotives in European rail freight transport. This locomotive type is also found in freight service in Germany. The Captrain version is therefore ideal for realistic container trains, tank car trains, and other heavy freight operations.
Arnold Class 66 – completely new design in TT gauge
The model stands out as a completely new development, featuring prototypical design differences between the Class 66 and Class 77. The sturdy die-cast chassis provides the foundation for reliable operation, while the high-quality plastic body with fine engravings ensures a highly detailed appearance.
The five-pole high-performance motor with flyweights drives all six axles. Current is drawn through all of the locomotive’s wheels. This ensures the model runs smoothly and operates reliably on a TT layout.
Realistic lighting and digital retrofit options
The diesel locomotive features direction-dependent front and red tail lights, as well as cab lighting. In digital mode, these lighting functions can be controlled separately.
The Arnold HN9085 is supplied as an analog version without a factory-installed digital decoder. Thanks to the integrated Next18 digital interface compliant with NEM 662, digitalization is possible at a later date.
Close-coupling mechanisms and coupler mounts compliant with NEM 355 at both ends of the locomotive allow it to be coupled with compatible TT freight cars. With a length over buffers of 179 mm and a minimum operating radius of 310 mm, the Class 66 is highly versatile.
Expand your modern TT freight fleet with a distinctive diesel locomotive! Get the Arnold HN9085 Captrain Class 66 and bring the powerful atmosphere of freight trains to your model railroad layout.
