Introduction

The Bemo 1562565 H0 electric locomotive "Matterhorn Story" HGe 4/4 5 of the MGB, Era VI brings impressive cultural history and striking design to your H0 AC layout. The locomotive was given an eye-catching advertising livery by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway (MGB) as part of the new production of the open-air play "The Matterhorn Story" on the Riffelberg - and is reminiscent of the historic first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865. The HGe 4/4 5 belongs to the series of former BVZ cogwheel locomotives that are now owned by MGB. As an unmodernized unit, it was converted into a rolling advertising medium for the open-air theatre "The Matterhorn Story" on the Riffelberg. The open-air theater commemorates the legendary first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865 - a milestone in the history of tourism in the Alps. The new production in 2025 celebrated ten years since the premiere and received a lot of public attention - also thanks to this locomotive.
