Model Information & Technical Specifications

The model is designed for N gauge (1:160 scale) and measures 116.90 mm over the buffers. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current (DC) system and is not digitally controlled. The model is pre-wired for interior lighting, allowing for easy retrofitting. Equipped with NEM-compliant close-coupling mechanism, the car ensures realistic car transitions during operation.

Visual Details & Features

The WRge is equipped with detailed “Görlitz V” type bogies. The window frames are printed and the windows are installed to scale. The multi-colored interior underscores the high level of detail. The car transition is reproduced with a separately attached rubber bead—another typical feature of this generation of vehicles.

Prototype: Comfort in DR Passenger Rail Service

Starting in 1963, the Halberstadt Raw began manufacturing the new DR passenger cars, initially based on older underframes.
