Framo or rather Barkas? Between 1954 and 1961, the Barkas V901/2 van was manufactured at the VEB Barkas-Werke Karl-Marx-Stadt (Framo in Hainichen until 1956). Due to its origin, it was therefore often called the Framo V901/2 and was also referred to as such from 1956. While retaining the technology, the three-quarter ton Framo V901 of the then GDR vehicle construction was redesigned externally in 1954 and further developed into the type V901/2.
