Fleischmann 6260018 control car 2. Klasse für EW-IV-Pendelzüge, SBB, Ep. VI

About the model: Fleischmann is presenting an N model of the 2nd class control car for EW-IV commuter trains in the current design of the Swiss Federal Railroad, belonging to Era VI. The model shines with a detailed look and impresses with features such as a complete interior and a NEM 355 shaft with KK kinematics. Furthermore, the model has already been prepared for retrofitting interior lighting. The car has a length of 165 mm.

About the prototype: SBB purchased 60 type IC Bt cab control cars when the long-distance trains were shuttled starting in 1996. In addition to the cab control cars, the intercity commuter trains formed with these consist of adapted EW IV intermediate cars, former French baggage cars and Re 460 locomotives. The 62-seat vehicle is conceptually based on the well-known Eurocity cars. The equipment also includes a wheelchair, baby carriage and bicycle compartment as well as a closed WC system with bioreactor. The head shape and driver's cab correspond as far as possible to the Re 460 locomotives, thus achieving a homogeneous appearance.
