Fleischmann 708775 steam locomotive Rh 86, ÖBB, Ep. III-IV Product Details
The class 86 was a standard tender locomotive that was built in large numbers by numerous German locomotive factories for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. Some of these steam locomotives were found in Austria after the end of the war and were used for passenger and freight services. Among the most spectacular deployments were the leading services for heavy ore trains in front of the 52 series. The locomotives were based at the boiler houses in Hieflau, Selzthal, Linz, Bischofshofen and St. Veit/Glan, among others. The last locomotives were retired in 1972.
