German Federal Railroad class 043 steam locomotive with oil firing.
The steam locomotives called "Jumbo" at that time were used in almost all of Germany and in many European countries. The maximum speed of the locomotive was 80 km/h (50 mph), while some of these already very powerful locomotives had a further increase in power to 2100 hp (1546 kW) around 1955, when they were converted to oil firing. The DB's oil-fired locomotives carried the class designation 043 from 1968 onwards.
