Re 4/4 II - the backbone of the SBB locomotive fleet
With 277 units delivered, the Re 4/4 II is SBB's largest traction unit series. The locomotives were put into service between 1964 and 1985 and are characterized by their versatility and durability. With an output of 4,700 kW and a top speed of 140 km/h, they are equally suitable for passenger and freight services. Heavy trains were often hauled in double traction with a Re 6/6.
Finely detailed model with an elegant look
Fleischmann has equipped the model of the Re 420 275-0 with numerous high-quality details: fine windshield wipers as etched parts, filigree pantographs, enclosed closed rail scrapers and a prototypical air conditioning system. The LED top lighting shows the typical Swiss light change and is optimized for analogue operation - digitization is easily possible via the Next18 interface.
Technically mature for analogue operation - can be digitized
A powerful 3-pole motor with flywheel mass ensures smooth running. The locomotive has four powered axles, two of which have traction tires. Thanks to the NEM 355 coupler with close coupler link, the model can be used reliably on tight radii from 192 mm. The model is also Z21 cab compatible.
