Fleischmann 7560101 N Electric Locomotive Rh 1293 "2000" ÖBB Ep. VI

Are you looking for an exceptional electric locomotive for your N-gauge model railroad layout that combines modern European freight transport with a special anniversary in railway history? The Fleischmann 7560101 Rh 1293 164-0 electric locomotive from the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) impresses with its exclusive “Vectron No. 2000” design, a detailed roof design, and the characteristic appearance of a modern Siemens Vectron locomotive.

As an Era VI model, this special ÖBB electric locomotive commemorates an important milestone in European railway technology. With the delivery of the 2,000th Vectron in 2026, Siemens Mobility celebrated an extraordinary success. The anniversary locomotive 1293 164 was handed over to the Austrian Federal Railways and is now also available as an N-gauge model.

Fleischmann Rh 1293 164-0 – the 2,000th Siemens Vectron locomotive

Siemens Vectron locomotives are among the most successful modern electric locomotives in Europe. Since their market launch in 2012, this versatile locomotive platform has established itself in international passenger and freight transport.

On July 23, 2026, a special milestone was celebrated at the Siemens Mobility plant in Munich: The 2,000th Vectron locomotive built was handed over to the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) during a festive ceremony.

This anniversary locomotive is the ÖBB 1293 164, whose special design highlights the successful history of the Vectron series.

With nearly 3,000 locomotives sold and orders from more than 115 customers, the Vectron platform ranks among the most significant developments in modern European rail transport.

The various Vectron models are designed for operation in numerous European countries. Locomotives based on this platform are certified for use in a total of 20 countries. The vehicle family also includes variants certified for speeds of up to 230 km/h in passenger service.

Special Anniversary Design “Vectron No. 2000”

A special highlight of the Fleischmann 7560101 is its “Vectron No. 2000” design. This design immediately evokes the delivery of the 2,000th Vectron locomotive and gives the model exceptional recognition value.

The detailed roof design complements the characteristic appearance of the modern electric locomotive and underscores its prototypical accuracy.

This licensed ÖBB model depicts the 1293 series anniversary locomotive in its Era VI operating condition and is ideal for collectors of special electric locomotives as well as for modern Austrian model railroad layouts.

Analog Electric Locomotive with Next18 Digital Interface

The Fleischmann 7560101 is designed for the analog DC system and features an electrical Next18 digital interface. This allows the electric locomotive to be retrofitted with a compatible digital decoder as needed.

Power is transmitted to all four axles. A flywheel ensures smooth running, while two traction tires provide additional traction when pulling longer freight trains.

The three-light headlight, which changes direction depending on the direction of travel, along with two red tail lights, is equipped with LEDs and provides realistic lighting during operation.

The locomotive features a NEM 355 coupling shaft with close-coupling kinematics. This allows it to be coupled with compatible N-gauge freight cars to form a varied train set.

With a length over buffers of 119 mm and a minimum operating radius of 192 mm, the ÖBB Rh 1293 is also suitable for more compact N-gauge model railroad layouts.

Ideal Locomotive for Modern International Freight Transport

The ÖBB Class 1293 electric locomotives are of great importance for modern freight transport. As multi-system locomotives, they enable cross-border transport on various European rail lines.

The Fleischmann Rh 1293 164-0 pairs particularly well with modern container cars, tank cars, sliding-tarpaulin cars, and other freight cars from Era VI.

Whether leading an international container train, passing through a large freight yard, or traveling on a modern electrified main line—this anniversary locomotive offers numerous possibilities for realistic model railroad operation.

The “Vectron No. 2000” version is also of particular interest to collectors of exceptional special-edition locomotives. It commemorates a significant production milestone and links the history of a successful locomotive platform with the modern freight operations of the Austrian Federal Railways.

Add a special piece of European railway history to your model railroad layout! Get the Fleischmann 7560101 Rh 1293 164-0 in the “Vectron No. 2000” anniversary design and expand your N-gauge collection with an exceptional ÖBB electric locomotive from Era VI.
