The prototype was built between 1975 and 1980 by the VEB Fahrzeug- und Jagdwaffenwerk "Ernst Thälmann" Suhl as a moped/mokick under the brand name Simson 579,700 times.
It had an air-cooled 1-cylinder two-stroke petrol engine with a displacement of 49.6 cm³ and 2.65 kW / 3.6 hp at 5500 rpm, which enabled top speeds of 60 km/h.
