The Lenz 40280-05 0 steam locomotive BR 80 024 is a detailed replica of the massive tender shunting locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, which were built between 1927 and 1929 as part of the unified steam locomotive program. This model represents the class 80 024 of the Rbd Halle (S), Bw Leipzig Hbf West and is set in Era III.
The class 80 locomotives were in service with the DB until 1965 and with the DR until 1981. They were used as works locomotives in the coal and steel industry until 1977. Seven of these locomotives are still in service today.
