Lenz 41193-01 0 control car BDnf 740, 2. Kl., Gepäckabteil, DB, Ep. IV Product Details
Lenz 41193-01 0 BDnf 740 cab control car, 2nd class with baggage compartment, DB, Era IV, black long girder with orange warning paint:
The Lenz 41193-01 0 BDnf 740 driving trailer, 2nd class with luggage compartment, was developed for the Deutsche Bahn (DB) in Era IV and has a black long beam with orange warning paint. It belongs to the so-called "Silberlinge" design, which owes its name to the silver color of the originally unpainted car body. Around 5000 of these vehicles were built between 1958 and 1980 as successors to the "yl wagons" in order to meet the requirements of fast local transport. Two double doors on each side of the car made it possible to change passengers quickly. Despite their age, some of these carriages are still in use today.
