Lenz 41303-01 0 BPw4ümg-59 half baggage car, 2nd class, DB, Era III - detailed express train classic in 0 scale
Are you looking for a particularly authentic and technically sophisticated half-baggage wagon for your 0 model railway layout? The Lenz BPw4ümg-59 not only impresses with its true-to-original design based on the Era IIIb model, but also with modern digital functions - combined in a fascinating model for connoisseurs of the German Federal Railroad era.
The classic in chrome oxide green - an era on rails
The BPw4ümg-59 semi-baggage coach is one of the typical express train coaches introduced in the early phase of the German Federal Railroad. Painted in RAL 6020 chrome oxide green, it embodies the classic color scheme of the 1950s. The models with a prototype length of 26.4 m are based on the transition from the old, shorter Reichsbahn coaches to the new, standardized Bundesbahn coaches. They feature the distinctive rubber bead construction instead of the traditional bellows and are characterized by their elongated design.
At the forefront of model technology: digital and illuminated
The Lenz model comes with a robust plastic housing and metal bogies, which ensures excellent running characteristics. The modern power supply directly in the axle bearings is particularly impressive - ideal for reliably supplying the interior lighting. This is provided by warm white LEDs and can be switched digitally. Individual compartments can be switched on or off separately - an exclusive detail that is particularly close to the prototype.
Technical highlights for 0 gauge
The car is fully digitally equipped, has close coupler kinematics and the tried and tested Lenz coupler. The coupling system complies with the NEM standard, which ensures maximum compatibility with other vehicles and coupling systems. Despite the high level of detail, sound was deliberately omitted in order to focus on the digital control and lighting.
A piece of Federal Railroad history for your layout
After the Second World War, the modernization of the rolling stock was one of the greatest challenges for the newly founded German Federal Railways. The new express train coaches - including semi-baggage coaches such as the BPw4ümg-59 - became defining elements of German rail traffic from the 1950s onwards. With this model, you can bring an authentic piece of technical history to your layout.
For collectors, company railway enthusiasts and technology fans
The Lenz half-baggage car is aimed at model railroaders who not only value a true-to-original look, but also digital sophistication. Thanks to its numerous functions, robust construction and realistic design, this model is ideal for demanding 0-gauge railroaders.
