Märklin 30391 H0 electric loco E 10.12, DB, Ep. III, AC-MFX-Digital Product Details
Märklin 30391 H0 Electric Locomotive E 10.12, DB, Ep. III, AC-MFX-Digital - The Rheingold Locomotive in the Retro Luster of the 1960s
Märklin 30391 marks the stylish return of a classic of the German Federal Railroad era: The class E10.12 electric locomotive in a cobalt blue/beige Rheingold paint scheme is presented here in a unique retro version with a metal body - completely in the style of the Märklin models from the 1960s. This exclusive one-time model is not only a tribute to the elegant long-distance service of Era III, but also a real collector's item with contemporary digital technology.
Prototypical realization of the E10 1309
The prototype of the locomotive, the E10 1309, was intended as a "Rheingold locomotive" for exclusive TEE traffic and was given a special front end with a distinctive "crease". The model version shows all the typical features: five headlights, continuous fan belt with rounded ends, all-round rain gutter and buffer cladding with apron - exactly as it was in service around 1963. This makes the locomotive an ideal match for the Rheingold wagons of item number 40852.
Digital technology in a nostalgic guise
There is modern Märklin technology under the retro cover: The locomotive is equipped with an mfx digital decoder and has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. Two axles in one bogie are powered, and a traction tire provides additional tractive power. The three-light headlights change over with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. The body and chassis are made completely of metal - for high stability and a classic Märklin feel.
Retro packaging for collectors and enthusiasts
Another highlight is the packaging: The color scheme and design are based on the Märklin look of the 1960s and show a colored depiction of the locomotive. This makes the 30391 not only a visual eye-catcher on the layout, but also a stylish collector's item on the shelf.
Secure it now - The perfect locomotive for the Rheingold train
Whether as a train locomotive for the legendary TEE "Rheingold" or as a single model with collector's charm - the Märklin 30391 E10.12 combines classic elegance with modern technology.
