Märklin 39228 H0 diesel locomotive BR 218, DB/CB, Ep. IV, AC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Märklin 39228 H0 Class 218 Diesel Locomotive, DB/CB, AC MFX Sound - Classic Colors of the 80s in Heavy Service
Märklin 39228 brings a special color chapter of the class 218 back to life: The German Federal Railroad diesel locomotive 218 140-2 appears in the attractive pure orange/pebble gray paint scheme - a version that was used from the mid-1980s, especially in intercity and regional service. The model shows the operating condition from 1985 and brings a piece of Era IV to your H0 layout with digital technology, powerful drive and authentic light functions.
High-quality metal design with reliable drive
The chassis and body are made entirely of metal and give the model a high level of stability and excellent running characteristics. A controlled high-performance drive with centrally installed flywheel drives all four axles. Traction tires ensure reliable traction - even under load. The kinematics-guided close couplers allow prototypical car transitions in the train set.
Realistic lighting functions and digital control
The model is equipped with an mfx+ decoder and offers extensive light and sound functions. The three-light headlights and two red marker lights change over depending on the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. In addition, the headlights can be deactivated separately for each side of the locomotive - including a double A light function. The cab and engine room lighting can also be switched on separately digitally.
Fine details and authentic equipment
The locomotive has finely applied metal grab irons on the sides and ends. The detailed buffer beam can optionally be fitted with the enclosed brake hoses and screw couplings. An integrated buffer storage unit ensures uninterrupted operation on de-energized track sections - ideal for sophisticated layout concepts.
