Prototype: Class A3 express steam locomotive with a tender. Version as a museum locomotive in postwar black with different lettered road numbers. 502 and 103 from around 1946 as well as the current road number 60103 on the smokebox door. Operational museum condition at the beginning of 2015 with corridor tender and wind deflectors. Locomotive of the National Railway Museum in York.
About the model: The Class A3 "Flying Scotsman" steam locomotive, Ep. VI from Märklin in a scale of 1:87 has an impressive mfx+ digital decoder and extensive light and sound functions. The controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel drives three axles, supported by traction tires. The locomotive is largely made of metal and has a standard smoke unit that can be controlled digitally. The model has a direction-dependent headlights signal and switchable lighting effects such as cab lighting and firebox flickering.
