Minitrix 15368 N scale "TEE Rheinpfeil" car set - DB, Era IV
The Minitrix 15368 is an exclusive car set for the famous Trans-Europ-Express "Rheinpfeil" in N scale (1:160). The set is a prototypical reproduction of the train as it was in the summer of 1971 and includes three high quality printed express train cars from the German Federal Railroad (DB) in Era IV design.
The following car types are included:
- 1 Avümh 111 compartment car - 1st class
- 1 TEE observation car ADümh 101 - with glazed panorama upper deck
- 1 large-capacity coach Apümz 121 - 1st class
All of the coaches feature the typical TEE color scheme in purple/ivory and are finely detailed and prototypically lettered. The special highlight of the set is the ADümh 101 observation car with a panoramic compartment on the upper deck - a symbol of the comfort and prestige of the TEE network in the 1970s.
The cars are equipped with close coupling kinematics and can be coupled closely together. The Avümh 111 and Apümz 121 are also prepared for the installation of interior lighting. The Minitrix 66610 LED interior lighting is recommended to go with them.
With an overall length over buffers of 495 mm, this set is the ideal complement to the Minitrix class 112 "Bügelfalte" locomotive (e.g. Minitrix 16269), as it hauled the TEE Rheinpfeil around 1971. Whether on the layout or in the display case - this car set is a must for fans of classic Era IV TEE trains.
