Modellbau Veit 71953 steam locomotive Aquarius C, Ep.IV/V, Bausatz Product Details
Prototype: The locomotive built by Borsig in 1939 (factory no. 14806) was the prototype for 5-coupled army field railroad locomotives. Originally designed as a tender locomotive, it was equipped with a trailing tender. From 1945-84 it ran on light railroads in Austria. After an overhaul, the locomotive came to the Jagsttalbahn in 1986 and was in service there until 1988. In May 1997, it was put into service on the Rügen branch line. At the end of 2011, it came to Jöhstadt for refurbishment. It has been in regular service there as a guest locomotive since May 2012.
Model: The locomotive is being built by the company Modellbau Veit in the current version of Era 5. If there is sufficient customer response, the identical and still preserved No. 152 of the Jagsttalbahn (Henschel factory no. 26460) will also be built.
