With the Piko 21022 electric locomotive E669.1, PIKO presents an authentic replica of a Czechoslovakian heavy-duty locomotive from Era III. The new H0 locomotive with factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder embodies the robust performance of the six-axle locomotives from the early days of electrification in Czechoslovakia. Ideal for demanding model railroaders who value realistic operation and historically correct train formation.

Historical prototype with an impressive career

The E 669.1 series was manufactured by Škoda in the early 1960s and delivered to ČSD to replace double traction in freight traffic. A total of 150 machines were built and used in the northern and eastern Czech direct current networks. After 1993, ČD took over the entire series, some of which are still in use today as push-pull locomotives. A real workhorse with an impressive history!

New design with numerous light and sound functions

The H0 locomotive is a real technology package: Equipped with PIKO TrainSound® onboard, it offers authentic locomotive sounds and additional functions. The digitally switchable driver's cab and engine room lighting, including illuminated driver's desk, ensures an impressive operating appearance - ideal for night operation. The white/red light change depending on the direction of travel completes the realistic effect perfectly.

Detailed design and high-quality workmanship

The locomotive impresses with two filigree metal pantographs, an elaborately designed roof garden, round buffers and functional rail clearances. The interior fittings in the driver's cab and engine room are also detailed - a delight for anyone who loves technology in a model. The powerful drive, combined with a minimum radius of 358 mm, makes the model suitable for operation on many H0 layouts.

Perfect for digital operation with high system compatibility

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 digital interface and factory-installed sound decoder. The combination of NEM shaft and close coupler link ensures a reliable connection with other vehicles. The DC model is ideal for digitized layouts and provides a particularly realistic driving experience thanks to the sound decoder.
