Technology & detail - fine and functional

The Rh 1041 is equipped with two metal scissor pantographs. The driver's cab and engine room are detailed, as is the elaborate roof garden. The cab lighting can be controlled digitally using a PluX22 decoder. With a length over buffers of 176 mm, the model is also ideal for more compact layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm.

Historic prototype - reliable all-purpose locomotive

The class 1041 proved itself from the 1950s in Austria as a versatile locomotive for passenger and freight trains. With electrical equipment from AEG, BBC, ELIN and SSW, it was considered to be robust and reliable. The locomotives were in active service until 2003 and some of them are now preserved in museums - a sign of their longevity and technical maturity.

Model railroad operation & compatibility

The locomotive is designed for direct current systems and can be flexibly combined with close coupler sets via NEM shafts. It can be retrofitted with the PIKO sound decoder #56520 and thus also offers acoustically authentic driving pleasure. The combination of dimensional accuracy and technology makes it the ideal model for daily operation.
