With the Piko BR 383 in the design of PKP Cargo International, PIKO is launching a state-of-the-art Vectron multi-system locomotive for AC systems. Equipped with a factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder including mfx® support, the model is ready for immediate use and delivers realistic operating sounds - ideal for demanding Märklin layouts.

Technology & sound - ready for immediate use with mfx® comfort

The locomotive is fully digitally controllable and automatically registers with mfx®-compatible command stations. The integrated sound decoder provides prototypical soundscapes. A single-arm pantograph made of metal, finely detailed bogies and the white/red light change depending on the direction of travel round off the package - ideal conditions for modern model railroad operation.

Prototype: Vectron in service with PKP Cargo International

The class 383 is based on the Siemens Vectron and is used by PKP Cargo International on international routes between Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The electric version impresses with its 6400 kW output and high efficiency in cross-border freight transport.

AC operation & compatibility

The model is suitable for Märklin-compatible H0 track systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. It has a digital interface in accordance with NEM 658 and a close coupler link for reliable connections with modern freight cars.
