Piko 21761 H0 Class 186 Electric Locomotive, SNCB, Ep. VI - Four-system locomotive in service for Belgium
The Piko BR 186 SNCB brings a technically sophisticated four-system locomotive of the TRAXX-2 generation to your H0 DC layout. In the modern appearance of the SNCB - the Belgian state railroad - the model is ideally suited for international use in Era VI and enriches every layout with a current locomotive that can be used in Europe.
Technology & equipment - four-system technology in model form
The locomotive is equipped with four single-arm pantographs made of metal and has smooth side walls as well as a prototypically designed front section. The detailed roof garden reflects the complex technology of the original. An NEM 652 interface is available for digital upgrading; retrofitting a PIKO sound decoder #56613 is possible without any problems.
Prototype: TRAXX F140 MS - all-rounder for Europe
The class 186 is based on the TRAXX F140 MS and was designed for use under several power systems. The locomotive has a rated power of 5,600 kW and is equipped with different country packages, allowing it to be used across borders in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
Compatibility & model railroad operation
The locomotive is suitable for all standard H0 DC systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. Thanks to the NEM shaft and close coupler link, it can be flexibly integrated into international freight trains, intermodal or long-distance services - ideal for modern European train scenarios.
