Novelty 2023:Starting in the mid-1950s, passenger car series were created at the German Federal Railroad by converting Länderbahn compartment cars, which are referred to as conversion cars. Second class cars, first and second class cars, and second class cars with baggage compartments were realized. For many years, they were indispensable in local traffic on main and branch lines. It was not until the mid-1980s that the last of them were retired, but they continue to run on museum railroads or as construction train cars to this day.
