Novelty 2023: The PIKO TT model of the 119 series was, like its prototype, derived from the clear, robust and functionally reliable design of the V 180 from PIKO. As this was done with constructive consistency and high manufacturing quality, it impresses with balanced running culture and considerable tractive power. The locomotive is driven by a motor with two precisely balanced flywheels. It is driven on four axles. The shape and color design of the locomotive, called a "submarine" because of its portholes, is not inferior to its precision engineering. The locomotive has close coupling kinematics, white/red lighting that changes with the direction of travel, and a PluX digital interface; a sound retrofit is prepared. It is lettered as DR Ep.IV with high headlights.
