The Piko H0 AC sound electric locomotive BR 194 of the German Federal Railroad is a classic of electric freight traffic in Germany - now in the AC version for Märklin systems, with mfx® compatibility and factory-installed sound decoder. The locomotive known as the E 94 was built in 146 units between 1940 and 1945 and was the backbone of freight transportation in southern Germany until the 1980s. Its green color scheme and articulated body earned it the nickname "German Crocodile".
Powerful in use - fine in detail
The model impresses with digitally switchable cab and engine room lighting, two metal scissor pantographs, detailed cab and engine room equipment and the characteristic locomotive body with an openwork silhouette. The BR 194 - a freight train titan with cult status
Designed as the successor to the E 93, the BR 194 was used for decades on heavy freight trains in the low mountain ranges and Alpine foothills. Its CoCo axle arrangement and characteristic design make it one of the best-known electric locomotives of the Bundesbahn era to this day.
