With the Roco 7110043 BR 39 1052 steam locomotive, you can bring a piece of reconstruction history of the Deutsche Reichsbahn to your H0 layout. Historical background: From the BR 22 to the BR 39.10

As part of the DR reconstruction program from 1958, 85 class 39.0-2 locomotives were converted to the new class 22. The aim was to improve the inadequate boiler performance with new welded cylinders, extended frames and revised driver's cabs. The resulting locomotives were used in both normal and higher express train services - albeit without long-term success. By 1970, the use of these locomotives was already limited to a few machines, including the 39 1052, before it was taken out of service in 1971.
