Roco 7110043 H0 steam locomotive BR 39, DR, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details
Roco 7110043 H0 Steam locomotive BR 39 1052 - DC sound model of the DR with reconstruction history
With the Roco 7110043 BR 39 1052 steam locomotive, you can bring a piece of reconstruction history of the Deutsche Reichsbahn to your H0 layout. This update model combines finely detailed optics with a PluX16 sound decoder and LED headlights for an impressive sound and driving experience. As a conversion version of the former BR 22, the locomotive features many characteristic DR details of Era IV - based in Rbd Erfurt, Bw Saalfeld.
Technology update for realistic operation
The locomotive is equipped with a PluX16 digital decoder including sound function, which provides typical steam locomotive sounds for DC operation. The 2 headlights with LED technology change depending on the direction of travel and provide an authentic lighting atmosphere during operation. The delicate running gear on the locomotive and tender as well as the free-standing boiler lines make the model a particularly elegant representative of the class 39. Supplied with a T34 tender.
Historical background: From the BR 22 to the BR 39.10
As part of the DR reconstruction program from 1958, 85 class 39.0-2 locomotives were converted to the new class 22. The aim was to improve the inadequate boiler performance with new welded cylinders, extended frames and revised driver's cabs. The resulting locomotives were used in both normal and higher express train services - albeit without long-term success. By 1970, the use of these locomotives was already limited to a few machines, including the 39 1052, before it was taken out of service in 1971.
Who is this model ideal for?
The Roco BR 39 1052 is ideal for model railroaders with a focus on DR Era IV who are looking for a sonorous, technically up-to-date and at the same time historically relevant model. Whether for train runs with classic express or passenger trains - this engine brings atmosphere and history to the layout.
