Roco 7120041 H0 Steam locomotive S 10.1 - AC sound model in Prussian style

With the Roco 7120041 steam locomotive 1108 (S 10.1), Roco presents an updated version of the legendary express locomotive of the Royal Prussian Railway Administration. This AC sound model combines classic locomotive construction of Era I with the latest digital technology. The comprehensive update with PluX16 interface, LED lighting and inserted lamp lenses make the locomotive a new highlight on any H0 layout.

Technology & digital equipment

The locomotive is technically impressive with two powered axles, two traction tires and an integrated flywheel for smooth running. The PluX16 decoder with AC sound function provides a realistic sound image. This is supplemented by two headlights with LED technology that change depending on the direction of travel. The appearance of the model has been upgraded: for the first time with a low-set turntable, inserted lamp lenses and a design with striking decorative lines, which give the locomotive a particularly elegant appearance. Fine metal spoke wheels complete the picture.

The S 10.1 - Prussian engineering on rails

The S 10.1 was created as a completely independent design and was not further developed from the S 10. Equipped with a four-cylinder De Glehn-type compound engine, it exploited the advantages of economical operation combined with high performance. A total of 152 units were built between 1911 and 1914 - 135 for Prussia and 17 for Alsace-Lorraine. Their design made them the ideal locomotive for express train service on the main lines of the German Empire.
